This is a big one! Previously, commission has been added on top of your quote price - this led to odd quote total prices which didn't add up to the sum of the items listed, and made it more difficult to negotiate or make quick, simple changes to your quote.
With the new format, you'll have inputted two prices for the “Food” and the “Additional Costs” - together, these will form the total quote price. You'll then see a “You will receive £x”, which is the total quote price minus the 15% Togather commission.
Why have we changed it?
Previously commission was added on top of your quote, which led to quote total prices which didn’t reflect the sum of the items listed and not displayed as clean, round numbers.
For customers, this led to confusion and speculation around why quotes were displayed in an irregular way and seemingly inflated prices
For suppliers, it led to greater difficulty in being able to negotiate on price and make quick, simple amendments to your quote
With these changes, we want to empower suppliers to be able to negotiate more effectively on price with round numbers, have greater control of their individual pricing strategies and enable greater transparency around pricing on the platform
What do I need to do?
The new commission calculation will be automatic, but please bear in mind in any pricing you do that it reflects that our commission will be deducted from your quote price, and please remember that the commission is the commercial agreement between you and Togather, and is not a cost to the client in any circumstances.
